Overview
Patriots,
There’s no sugarcoating it. Tuesday was a disaster for us.
We lost both the House and the Senate. NBC News projects Democrats will hold about 258 House seats, their biggest majority since 1993. In the Senate, we lost seats in states we used to take for granted: Texas, Kansas, South Carolina, Iowa, Ohio, Maine, and North Carolina. According to Fortune, it’s only the third time in 50 years a party has lost control of both chambers at once.
Some losses hurt more than others. Former RNC chairman Michael Whatley lost North Carolina’s Senate race to Roy Cooper. Vivek Ramaswamy lost the Ohio governor’s race. In Texas, Democrat James Talarico took a Senate seat our side hadn’t lost in decades.
Pointing fingers won’t fix anything. Understanding what happened will. Here’s what the exit polls tell us.
